Since I am just a small business owner, I don’t have the resources to tap into tools like TV, radio and print. However, online efforts and word of mouth have worked really well for me. I have gotten clients from different states and also from different countries. My website, blog, social media, email marketing, and satisfied existing clients have gotten me numerous leads. I have also generated new partners and clients by participating in forums like LinkedIn and Quora. Just like with my website and blog, I just share my two cents on marketing principles and practices on LinkedIn and Quora forums and people want to connect further with me – whether it is as a marketing consultant for a client or a partner for a relevant firm or individual. I also attend relevant events that I think my target audience is there or to simply enhance my marketing skills. Just continuously establish your knowledge and expertise on different mediums people would recognize that you know what you are talking about and they would want to connect with you.
